Shyam Annamalai is a high school student and lives in Plano, TX.  Shyam recognizes that water is a very important resource in everybody's life, and currently we are not taking measures to conserve this precious resource; a lot of water is wasted in our everyday lives throughout the world.  That is why he started "Water for Water" - a non-profit organization that aims to help conserve rainwater (through simple yet effective methods) and simultaneously promote other water conservation causes around the world.  So far in this journey he has helped install rain water barrels at several households in the Plano area and used the proceeds to donate to the Water Project.  He has donated the money in order to help the Mwembe Primary School in Kenya. Shyam soon hopes to expand his reach and spread his message of rainwater conservation throughout Texas and maybe even the whole country.  He hopes that the actions taken by us will help preserve water for ourselves and for future generations.
